Debbie joined the team at Mount Evelyn Vet Clinic and Animal Hospital in 2006.
Nationally Accredited Delta Institute Animal Behavioural Trainer,Fear Free Animal Trainer Professional and has achieved Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Debbie embraced her career in animal welfare as a Veterinary Nurse at RSPCA in 2000, where she developed a passion for animal behaviour running Puppy Pre-school and Kitten Kinder classes. In 2006 Deb joined the team part time at Mount Evelyn Veterinary Clinic, running classes and PetPEP (Pets and People Education Program), throughout our local schools and community-teaching children to read animal body language and to be safe around animals. In 2016 Deb began working at The Lost Dogs' Home part time as a Post Adoption Animal Behavioural Trainer, initiating group classes and private training consultations,helping clients to establish relationships with their pets and understand their pets' communication more effectively.
Debs’ true passion in animal behaviour inspired herin 2019 to establish her own business, Petsintuition Behavioural Training- supporting clients to buildand strengthen connections with their pets through force free, positive reinforcement, scientifically proven solutions. Group classes and private consultations are available, building confidence or addressing challenging behavioursthrough training and behavioural modification. Deb is also involved in training therapy and assistance dogs and is a referred trainer with Delta Institute and MindDog Australia.
Debbie and her Husband have two teenagers, Jason and Alannah. They share their home with the very spoilt Lylah who is a Burmese and their delightful Staffy Hugo.
In her spare time Deb loves to cook and spend time with her family and friends.
