Consultations with our experienced veterinarians are available seven days a week. Please call the clinic to make an appointment, giving as much information about the problem as possible.
At Mt Evelyn Vet Clinic and Animal Hospital we have a dedicated surgical suite and all vets are available to perform surgical procedures.
Hyperthyroidism is a common disorder in older cats. The thyroid glands are located in the neck and produce hormones which are important in regulating the body’s metabolic rate.
We offer a full in house radiology service. Our digital radiography unit produces superb images which are available for immediate viewing on a large computer screen.
A microchip is a small, permanent implant containing a unique code for your pet. The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and is implanted under the skin between the shoulder blades.
Good dental care is vital to maintain healthy teeth and gums and a happy, healthy pet. Dental disease can lead to serious health problems. Besides the obvious side effects of bad breath, painful gums and loss of appetite, dental disease can result in generalised infections and life threatening kidney and heart disease.
We have a large on site dispensary so will usually be able to supply you with any medication that your pet may require at the time of your pet’s consultation. Sometimes we need to order less commonly used medication in or have it compounded by a veterinary compounding pharmacist.
We have a limited selection of things that you can book an appointment with a nurse to check. For medical problems, please book an appointment with a vet.
Our staff can advise you on the best diet to suit the needs of your pet. We stock a full range or prescription and premium life stage pet foods.
Our hospital is fully equipped for the care of your pet, should they need to spend time in our facility. We have secure and comfortable hospital and isolation cages.
Mt Evelyn Vet Clinic and Animal Hospital offers grooming for cats that are not grooming themselves properly, or need to shed their fur coat for summer.
Ann Cupid is our friendly groomer with over 20 years of experience. Our grooming service at the Scissor Shack involves anything from a bath to a stylish breed clip.
